First 2013 SRT Viper sold for $300,000

The first production 2013 SRT Viper has been sold at the Barret-Jackson auction over the weekend in Orange County, California, for a staggering $300,000.

According to the North American carmaker, all proceeds from the winning bid will be donated to the Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer, which provides services to children with cancer, as well as their families. 

The Austin Hatcher Foundation is the official charity of the American Le Mans Series, which the 2013 SRT Viper will be debuted in later this year in GTS-R trim.

As we have previously reported, the new generation SRT Viper has just lost the Dodge brand for the company’s performance brand, the SRT or Street and Racing Technology. The supercar is powered by an 8.4-liter V8 mid-mounted engine with 640 horsepower and 814 Nm of torque, mated to a six-speed manual transmission.
