New details are starting to emerge about the Ferrari California successor which could be introduced as early as next summer.
According to Car&Driver, the next-generation model will feature a retro-inspired design and borrow cues from the iconic 1960s 250 GTO. It will be designed by Ferrari Centro Stile in Maranello and has a folding hardtop which will raise and lower quicker than before.
Motivation is expected to be provided by a turbocharged V8 engine, fitted with the kinetic energy recovery system (KERS), which will develop a total output in excess of 600 hp. This allows the supercar to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 3.5 seconds and hit a top speed of 200 mph.
