German tuner Carlsson has recently revealed the C25 Super-GT limited edition exclusively for China.
Based on the Mercedes-Benz SL-Class, the limited edition has an aggressive front fascia with huge intakes, redesigned head and taillights, longer grille with Carlsson logo and lower side gills. Technical highlights include the composite braking system, a set of massive all-aluminum tailpipes and C-Tronic Suspension chassis with iPhone control.
"We wanted to develop a vehicle that is highly exclusive on the one hand, and on the other hand can be also be used for the daily commute to the office. A Super-GT which impresses with its driving comfort in urban traffic as much as its capability to go from zero to 100. This concept is especially suited to the Chinese market and we are delighted with the very high level of interest”, said Markus Schuster, Carlsson CEO and engineer.
Under the hood, the car is powered by a 'Carlsson V8' engine with 450 hp, instead of the 6.0-liter bi-turbo engine with 753 hp and 1,150 Nm of torque found in the SL600. This seems to be the biggest disappointment.
Only seven units will be produced with pricing starts at 4,000,000 RMB ($630,000). The C25 Super-GT serial number 1 will be transferred by air to Shanghai. The rest will be built up over the next 12 months at Gut Wiesenhof in Merzig.
