According to a recent report, Audi is planning to reveal the Q2, in concept form, at the 2012 Paris Auto Show in September.
Based on the Audi A1, the four-seat crossover will feature radical styling with influences from the Quattro concept car and is offered mainly in front-wheel drive. A final production version might hit the market in 2013, priced at around £25,000.
The German carmaker says that the Audi Q2 will compete with the Nissan Juke, Opel Mokka, Peugeot 2008 and the Ford EcoSport.
