According to a recent report from Car&Driver, the 2014 Maserati Quattroporte will feature two new engines which are assembled by Ferrari at the Maranello factory.
Specifically, the new-generation sedan will be offered with a 420 hp supercharged V6 and a 520 hp turbocharged V8. The V6 engine won't be released at launch, but it will be 30% more efficient than the 4.3-liter V8 found on the Ferrari California. Both will be mated to a ZF-sourced eight-speed automatic transmission.
The sixth-generation Quattroporte will be revealed at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show in January. It will have four-door coupe styling and an aluminum-intensive platform.
