Just a few weeks ahead of its possible debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, the patent photos the 2013 Mercedes CLS Shooting Brake have hit the web.

While the front of the car mirrors the standard four-door CLS, the rear of the car is unique. In addition, you can see a sloping roofline, a steeply-raked tailgate and pronounced rear LED lights.

Engine options will likely include a variety of petrol and diesel options. There will also be an AMG variant with a twin-turbo 5.5-liter V8 that produces 518 hp and 700 Nm of torque, allowing the wagon to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in approximately 4.5 seconds and hit a limited top speed of 250 km/h.
