2013 Hyundai Elantra GLS Sedan priced from $17,470

Hyundai has just announced the 2013 Elantra GLS Sedan will start at $17,470, including a $775 destination charge, a increase of $1,350 over the base 2012 Elantra sedan.
According to the South Korean carmaker, the updated model with a six-speed manual transmission now comes with standard features like air-conditioning, 16-versus 15-inch wheels, cruise control, telescopic steering wheel and solar glass with windshield shade band.
Compared to its competition, the car is more expensive than the base 2012 Honda Civic DX sedan ($16,745), the 2012 Nissan Sentra ($17,210) and the 2012 Ford Focus sedan ($17,295), but cheaper than the base 2012 Chevrolet Cruze ($17,595).
As a small reminder, the 2012 Hyundai Elantra sedan was named the North American Car of the Year.
