The German carmaker BMW has just unveiled the 2013 ALPINA B7, ahead of its world premiere at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance.
Based on the 2013 7-Series sedan, the model comes with more than 30 new parts, including new bumpers with LED front fog lights, updated xenon adaptive headlights, automatic start-stop and 20-inch Alpina multi-spoke wheels. There's also an upgraded interior with new upholstery choices, a new Bang & Olufsen sound system and ceramic secondary controls.
Under the hood, power comes from a twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 engine with 540 hp and 728 Nm of torque - an increase of 40 hp and 30 Nm. It is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission, allowing the car to go from 0-60 mph in 4.3 seconds and hit a top speed of up to 312 km/h - an increase of 30 km/h over its predecessor.
The 2013 BMW ALPINA B7 will go on sale in the United States this August and pricing starts at $128,495 for the standard version and $135,395 for the long-wheelbase model.
