Bentley has recently released the first official images and details of the 2013 Continental GT Speed, ahead of its debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2012 on June 29.

According to the British carmaker, the 2013 Continental GT Speed is the fastest series production model in the history of the brand. It will come with with large air intakes, a dark-tinted matrix front grille, a "rifled" finish on the exhaust pipes in the rear and 21-inch Speed wheels wrapped in Pirelli PZero ultra-high performance 275/35 tires.

Other highlights includes an upgraded chassis featuring a uprated suspension system and a lowered ride height, along with a Mulliner Driving Specification interior.

Under the bonnet, the luxurious Coupe is powered by a 6.0-liter 48-valve, four-cam, twin turbocharged W12 engine that produces 616 hp at 6,000 rpm and 800 Nm of torque. The power is transmitted to the four wheels via a newly revised ZF eight-speed automatic transmission, allowing the four seats car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.2 seconds and hit a top speed of 329 km/h, but also ensures it is 12 percent more efficient.

First deliveries will begin this October.
