Audi has recently announced the pricing of the 2012 RS4 Avant in the United Kingdom.
According to the German carmaker, the third-generation RS4 Avant will start at £54,925 OTR, with deliveries scheduled to begin this autumn. The car comes with standard features like disk brakes all round, 19-inch forged alloy wheels with 265/35-series tyres, sports seats, cruise control, Bluetooth mobile phone preparation and a DVD-based satellite navigation.
Motivation is provided by a high-revving, naturally aspirated 4.2-liter V8 engine producing 444 hp at 8,250 rpm and 430 Nm of torque between 4,000 and 6,000 rpm. The power is transmitted to the Quattro all-wheel drive system via a seven-speed S tronic transmission, allowing the station wagon to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 4.7 seconds and hit an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h or 280 km/h upon request. The model consumes an average of 11-liter per 100 km (21.38 mpg in the U.S.).
