According to a new report from Motor Trend, Toyota is planning to develop a successor to the highly-anticipated Supra.

The report also says that the model will ride on the same chassis as the GRMN MRS prototype which has already undergone testing at Fuji Speedway. Additional information is limited, but the sports car is rumored to feature a mid-mounted hybridized 3.5-liter V6 engine and two in-wheel electric motors, which will produce an output in excess of 400 hp.

The final production version is expected to hit the market by late 2015 for less than $60,000.
