After being leaked over the last few days, the Renault Alpine A110-50 Concept has been officially unveiled, ahead of its debut at the 2012 Monaco Grand Prix tomorrow.

Created to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the original A110, the concept has a tubular chassis that is based on the Megane Trophy and a design that is heavily influenced by the 2010 DeZir concept. It comes with a carbon fiber body with a roof-mounted air intake, protruding side skirts and half-domed LED lights. There's also scissor doors, an adjustable rear wing and 21-inch alloy wheels wrapped in road-legal Michelin tires.

Inside, the cabin features Sabelt racing seats with full harness belts, carbon-fibre door sills, a flat-bottomed steering wheel, an uncluttered dashboard and a roll cage.

Under the bonnet, the 880 kg car is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine with 400 hp at 7,200 rpm and 422 Nm of torque at 6,200 rpm. The power is transmited to the rear wheels via a six-speed sequential transmission and a limited-slip differential.

Other highlights include Sachs adjustable dampers, a 47.8/52.2 weight distribution and high-performance brakes that measure 356 mm discs with six-piston calipers in the front and 330 mm discs with four-piston calipers in the rear.
