Peugeot has just unveiled the 208 R2 rally car, ahead of its debut at the Tour de Corse next week.
Described as an "ideal choice for those who want to get their first taste of rallying or simply enjoy their passion", the rally car is equipped with a sport-tuned suspension, three-way adjustable dampers and a hydraulic steering system. There's also single caliper brakes, full roll cage and racing tires from Michelin.
Power comes from a naturally-aspirated 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine with 185 hp at 7,800 rpm and 190 Nm of torque. It is mated to a five-speed sequential transmission with a sequential gearbox.
The asphalt and gravel versions of the R2 will both be available in kit form including the engine with prices starting at €37,500, while the fully built car is priced from €57,500.
