Ferrari has announced a recall for the 458 Italia and California supercars on a global scale, because of a problem with an incorrect finish to the crankshafts.
A total of 206 units are said to have this problem from 13,000 units that were built. The Italian carmaker said that if the crankshaft is not replaced, it can cause unwanted vibrations which can damage the engine.
“We are writing to all clients affected now, asking them to return the car to a dealer for the work to be done,” said a Ferrari spokesman.
