The Italian carmaker Ferrari has officially unveiled the one-off SP12 EC.
Designed by Ferrari Style Centre in collaboration with Pininfarina and engineers from Maranello, the bespoke model was commissioned by world-famous British musician Eric Clapton. It is based on the 458 Italia and is said to be inspired by the 512 BB.
No infomation about the engine, but the supercar reportedly features a 4.5-liter V8 engine with 562 hp and 540 Nm of torque. This allows it to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in less than 3.4 seconds and hit a top speed in excess of 325 km/h.
Eric Clapton describes the project as "being in front of a gigantic blank canvas that had to be painted on." He added it "an incredible experience, one of the most satisfying things I've ever done."
