According to a recent report by Car Magazine, Bentley will enter the 2013 Dakar Rally, which is expected once again to take place in South America, to promote their upcoming crossover.
The report also says that the British carmaker is attempting to buy back the amazing Volkswagen Race Touaregs, which were sold to private racing teams, and it wants to convert the SUV racers into modified versions of the EXP 9 F SUV concept in order to have them ready for the 2013 competition.
Just like the Race Touaregs, the Bentley versions would be bare-bone off-roaders. However, they will be fitted with an updated body shell that more closely resembles the production model.
As a reminder, the Race Touareg 3 is powered by a twin-turbo 2.5-liter TDI engine with 296 hp and 599 Nm of torque.
