2013 BMW 7-Series facelift revealed

BMW has just revealed the 2013 7-Series facelift which comes with new exterior, upgraded interior, new equipment and new engines.
According to the German carmaker, the flagship sedan features full-LED headlights with corona rings, a new kidney grille design, a revised front bumper, a revised front apron, new side mirror indicators and a redesign rear bumper with chrome strips and reflectors.
Inside, the cabin receives newly designed leather seats, additional soundproofing, a fresh 1,200-watts Bang & Olufsen sound system and an optional Rear Seat Entertainment package which features a new 9.2-inch flatscreen monitor, new black-panel technology with high-resolution 3D and an illuminated center speaker which retracts into the instrument panel.
Under the hood, new to the 7-Series engine line-up is the new TwinPower Turbo six-cylinder diesel engine. In the all-wheel drive 750d xDrive, the 3.0-liter features three turbochargers and produces 375 hp and 740 Nm of torque. This allows the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in only 4.9 seconds and hit a limited top speed of 250 km/h, while returning a fuel economy rating of 6.4-liter per 100 km (44.1 mpg) in the EU test cycle, with CO2 emissions of 169 g/km.
BMW has also upgraded the ActiveHybrid7, the 408 hp 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine in the first version is replaced by the 740i's 315 hp 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six engine. Along with a 54 hp electric motor, this offers 354 hp and 500 Nm of torque. The new hybrid model can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 5.7 seconds while achieving an average fuel economy of 6.8 -liter per 100 km (41.5 mpg) with CO2 emissions of 158 g/km.
All of the 2013 7-Series range gets new suspension with a self-leveling, auto start-stop, power electronics underpinning brake energy regeneration and ECO PRO mode.
The 2013 BMW 7-Series is expected to arrive in US showrooms in late summer 2012.
