In a recent interview at the New York Auto Show, Volkswagen of America CEO Jonathan Browning said the Scirocco is probably going to be offered to the United States.
Speaking with Automotive News, he said "That's a piece of the lineup that I would dearly love to see here." However, it will not be offered in America until the German carmaker launches the next generation, which is expected to be launched later in the current year.
In related news, Browning also hinted the brand might offer a production version of the Alltrack concept. It is a mid-sized all-wheel-drive wagon with a diesel engine and would target the Subaru Outback.
