Toyota has recently unveiled the Yundong Shuangqing hybrid concept at the 2012 Beijing Motor Show.
Built exclusively for the Chinese market, the concept is a sharply styled four-door sedan and will preview a production vehicle that would use a locally produced hybrid system. The sedan's hybrid system was primarily developed at the Toyota R&D Center in Changshu, China.
At a press conference during the show, Toyota President Akio Toyoda said "We would like to put smiles on the faces of our Chinese customers with hybrid technology. I want the people of China to be able to experience the beauty of hybrid technology through a hybrid car born in China."
