Scion has quietly revealed the speedster version of the FR-S roadster concept in California.
According to the Japanese carmaker, the model was built by Cartel Customs, a California-based company headed by Jeremy Lookofsky. It features a short windscreen, sloped side windows, a massive spoiler and a rear diffuser. There's also an upgraded clutch, exhaust, and suspension, larger 18x8-inch front and 18x9.5-inch rear wheels wrapped in Toyo Proxes R888 tires, a 61-inch carbon fiber wing and a bespoke interior.
Under the hood, just like the FR-S roadster concept, the speedster version is powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder boxer engine with 200 hp and 205 Nm of torque.
The Scion FR-S Speedster will debut at the 2012 Toyota Long Beach Grand Prix next week.
