Nissan considering Toyota 86 rival

Nissan 370Z

In a recent interview, Nissan's design boss Shiro Nakamura has revealed some new details about the brand's sports car lineup, which will go against the Subaru BRZ and Toyota GT 86.

Speaking with Drive, Nakamura said "I much prefer smaller sports car." He declined to comment about a revival of the Silvia or the 200SX, but also hinted "If there is a market, we will do it."

As for the 370Z, the Japanese carmaker "still don't decide next generation will have a larger or smaller engine", but reducing the weight is a priority.
