Mercedes has officially unveiled the Concept Style Coupe (CSC) at the Avant/Garde Diaries event in Los Angeles on April 20.
The model is a CLS-style four-door coupe that is based on the MFA platform and measures 4,637 mm long, 1,891 mm wide and 1,398 mm tall. It is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder petrol engine with 208 hp, linked to the company' 4MATIC all-wheel drive system and 7G-DCT dual clutch automatic transmission.
Gorden Wagener, Mercedes' Head of Design, said "It's a great opportunity to be part in this exhibition, because we consider our design as part of automotive art. I think this car, in particular, is very avantgardistic, very progressive [and] very aggressive."
Besides unveiling the concept, the German carmaker also confirmed a production model will be launched next year. It will be built in Hungary and features a variety of engines that develop 108 hp to 168 hp.
