To celebrate 20 years of existence on the Chinese Market, Ferrari is planning to launch a special edition of the 458 Italia dedicated exclusively to this market.
According to the Italian carmaker, the 458 Italia 20th Anniversary Special Edition is inspired by Longma, which is an old Chinese idiom which means “the vigor and spirit of the legendary dragon-horse”, and it will be presented at the inauguration of the Ferrari Exhibition at the Shanghai Expo Park’s Italian Center.
The exclusive supercar comes with a dragon-based stripe on the front bonnet, unique side skirts, golden wheels, a “20th anniversary special edition” plaque is set into the dash and headrests embroidered in gold.
Under the hood, just like the standard 458 Italia, the special version is powered by a 4.5-liter V8 engine with 562 horsepower at 9,000 rpm and 540 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm. The engine is mated to a seven-speed dual clutch transmission.
Only 20 units will be produced.
As a small reminder, the first ever Ferrari sold in China was the 348 TS and it was ordered in Beijing.
