According to a new report from Car & Driver, the 2014 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible will go on sale in the U.S. Market early in 2013.
The report also says that the Convertible will be available with the exact same powertrain lineup as the coupe. This means engine options will include: a 2.5-liter engine with 170 bhp and a 2.0-liter TFSI engine with 200 hp.
In addition, the 138 hp 2.0-liter TDI diesel engine will also be powered in the line-up. It will be mated with a six-speed manual or a six-speed dual-clutch transmission.
The new Beetle Convertible is expected to be unveiled at the 2012 LA Auto Show in November.
