The German carmaker Volkswagen has unveiled the 2013 Lavida at the 2012 Beijing Motor Show in China.
Inspired from the North American Passat, the model is actually a compact-size sedan and features an uninspired design with familiar front and rear fascias. It also comes with standard features like anti-lock brakes, electronic stability control and front airbags.
Under the hood, three different engines will be available, including a 2.0-liter four-cylinder, a 1.6-liter four-pot and a 1.4-liter turbocharged TSI engine with 140 hp. The power is transferred to the front wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox or seven-speed DSG dual-clutch transmission.
