Toyota’s luxury brand Lexus has just unveiled the 2013 ES at the New York Auto Show today.
Based on the platform of the latest Toyota Camry, the model has a spindle grille, LED-infused headlights, wraparound taillights and 17-inch alloy wheels with low-rolling resistance tires. There's also a dual exhaust system for the ES 350 and a unique rear fascia with a hidden exhaust for the ES 300h.
Inside, the cabin features NuLuxe seats, an analog clock, wood trim and metallic accents. There's also a second-generation "Remote Touch Interface" to control the infotainment system, a Mark Levinson audio system, HD Radio with iTunes tagging, Bluetooth audio, phone transfer and a blind spot monitor with rear cross traffic alert.
Under the hood, the ES 350 is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 with Dual VVT-I, mated to a six-speed automatic, while the ES 300h comes with a hybridized 2.5-liter four-cylinder which returns an average fuel economy rating of 40 mpg (US).
The 2013 Lexus ES will likely go on sale in the United States later this year.
