At the 2012 New York Auto Show, General Motors has announced the 2013 Cadillac XTS will arrive at U.S. dealerships later this spring, with a starting price of $44,995.
Available in three trim packages (Luxury, Premium and Platinum), the entry-level Luxury comes nicely equipped with Magnetic Ride Control suspension system and the advanced CUE infotainment system, while the XTS Platinum will be distinguished by a unique front fascia, larger wheels, interior colors, materials, wood trim and an advanced all-wheel-drive system, using Haldex technology to transfer power front-to-back, and side-to-side along the rear axle.
The 2013 XTS is powered by a 3.6-liter V6 engine with 304 hp and 264 lb-ft of torque. The power is transmitted to the front-wheel drive, or an optional all-wheel drive, via a six-speed automatic transmission. This allows the car to return an estimated 17/28 mpg in city/highway in the FWD and 17/27 mpg in the AWD.
