The Volkswagen Passat Alltrack has recently been launched in the United Kingdom, with a starting price of £28,475.

Set to arrive in showrooms on 28 May, the Passat Alltrack in the UK will get a single trim level, with its future customers being able to choose between two engines: a 140 hp 2.0-liter TDI diesel with a six-speed manual transmission or a 170 hp 2.0-liter TDI diesel with six-speed DSG transmission.

The German carmaker says that the 140 hp version is rated at 49.6 mpg in the combined cycle with carbon dioxide emissions of 150 g/km, while the 170 hp model is rated at 47.9 mpg in the combined cycle with carbon dioxide emissions of 155 g/km.

The first one has a starting price of £28,475, while the latter is offered for £31,025. The list of standard equipment includes Alcantara upholstery, cruise control, Bluetooth telephone preparation, MDI iPod connectivity, DAB radio, two-zone climate control, RNS 315 touch screen satellite navigation system, Driver Alert System which detects fatigue, ESP, Park Assist, Automatic Distance Control with City Emergency Braking function, Side Scan Lane Change Assist, Adaptive Chassis Control and 18-inch Canyon alloy wheels.
