Mercedes CLC to debut in Los Angeles next month

The German based carmaker Mercedes-Benz has announced the Concept Style Coupe (CLC) will be officially presented to the public at the Los Angeles Art Festival on April 20, after the 2012 New York Auto Show.

Anders Sundt Jensen, Vice President Brand Communications Mercedes-Benz Cars, said “A special highlight of the festival in Los Angeles will be the artistic staging of the Mercedes-Benz Concept Style Coupe (CLC), which will be unveiled to the world for the first time”.

Under the hood, two diesel and a turbocharged petrol engines are available. On the petrol, the 1.6-liter engine produces 121 hp and 154 hp. On the diesel, the 1.8-liter develops 108 hp and 134 hp, while the 2.1-liter generates 168 hp and 201 hp. All engines are mated to a six-speed manual transmission.

In addition, the AMG version is expected to feature a 2.0-liter twin turbocharged engine with 296 hp, mated to a dual-clutch transmission.
