The Honda Jazz Hybrid has recently been launched in Malaysia, with a starting price of RM94,800.
According to the Japanese carmaker, the Malaysian Jazz Hybrid is available in five colors: Tafetta White, Crystal Black Pearl, Milano Red, Alabaster Silver Metallic and Fresh Lime Metallic, along with standard features like Charge Assist Indicator, Eco Assist function, ECON driving, six airbags, Hill Start Assist and Multi Info Display.
The Malaysian Jazz Hybrid is powered by the LDA-MF6 IMA engine which is shared with the Honda Insight. The 1,339cc with IMA will produce 88 hp at 5800 rpm and 121 Nm of torque at 4500 rpm. The claimed fuel consumption is 21.3 km/liter in the European cycle.
Despite the engine, battery, electric motor and Intelligent Power Unit (IPU) are well integrated, but affecting practicality - the Jazz’s multi-folding Magic Seats are retained, as is a boot volume of 300-liter or 846-liter with the rear seats folded. The only change is the spare tyres which is missing, but it can be replaced with a tyre repair kit.
The battery pack comes with a 140,000 km or five-year warranty, just like the CR-Z and the Insight.
