Geneva 2012: Pininfarina Cambiano Concept


Following a long teaser campaign, Pininfarina has finally revealed the Cambiano Conceptat the 2012 Geneva Motor Show.

According to the Italian car design company, the concept is actually a luxury sports saloon-coupe which was inspired by the 1957 Lancia Florida II. It features a single door on the driver's side and two doors on the passenger’s side.

The company also says that the model was approached with "great attention to the environment, both as to the engine and as to the materials choice".

Under the hood, the Cambiano Concept is powered by a range-extended electric drivetrain, which is coming with four electric motors which consists of four 82 hp electric motors and a small diesel engine which acts as a generator to recharge the batteries. This allows the 1,700 kg car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 4.2 seconds, hit a top speed of 275 km/h and has a total range of 200 km.
