Ford has introduced the 2013 Kuga crossover at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show preview event.

Looking virtually the same as the US Escape, the Kuga is based on the latest Focus and features an aggressive front fascia with a slender grille and prominent air vents. Inside, the cabin comes with metallic accents and black trim, the luggage space has been increased by 82-liter and the rear seats can be folded at the touch of a button and a hands-free automatic tailgate.

Other highlights include a SYNC connectivity system and a range of available driver assistance technologies such as Active Park Assist and sensor-based Blind Spot Information System.

At launch, the new Kuga will be powered by a 2.0-liter TDCi diesel engine in two states of tune, with 140 hp or 163 hp. The lineup will also be extended by a 1.6-liter EcoBoost turbocharged petrol engine with 173 hp. An updated all-wheel drive system with Torque Vectoring Control is also available.

The 2013 Ford Kuga will be launched across Europe late this year.
