Following an unwelcome leak and previewed just a day before its official debut, Lamborghini has revealed the Aventador J Speedster at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show.
Described as “the most uncompromising open super sports car of its entire history”, the special one-off supercar is 4,890 mm long, 2,030 mm wide and 1,110 mm tall, being the lowest model that Lamborghini has ever built. According to the Italian carmaker, the “J” is inspired by the technical racing rules of FIA, whilst many people may think that it pays homage to the legendary Jota from the 1970s, famous name from the Raging Bull’s past.
Under the hood, the Aventador J Speedster is powered by a 6.5-liter V12 engine with 690 hp and 690 Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to a permanent all-wheel drive system via Lamborghini Independent Shifting Rod (ISR) transmission, allowing the 1,575 kg supercar to hit a top speed of more than 300 km/h with the wind literally in your face, because the car not having any windscreen.
Unfortunately, we have to tell you that it has already found an owner, even the price has been set at €2.2 million.
