Ford has officially unveiled a production version of the Fiesta ST at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show.

According to the North America carmaker, the model has an aggressive body kit with new bumpers, a roof spoiler, a honeycomb grille, side skirts, a rear diffuser and a tailgate-mounted spoiler. Inside, the cabin features standard Recaro sport seats, faux carbon fiber trim, alloy pedals, a sport steering wheel and a SYNC infotainment system.

Other highlights include an upgraded braking system, a sport suspension setup, a specially tuned chassis that sits 15mm lower, enhanced Torque Vectoring Control system and three Electronic Stability Control modes.

Power comes from a 1.6-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine with 180 hp and 240 Nm of torque. It is mated to a six-speed manual gearbox that drives the front wheels, allowing the hatchback to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in less than 7 seconds and hit a top speed of 220 km/h. Meanwhile fuel economy figures are yet to be confirmed, but Ford says that it delivers a 20 percent CO2 emissions reduction compared to the previous generation.

The 2012 Ford Fiesta ST would begin arriving in Europe later this year or early in 2013.
