The F12 Berlinetta is not the only model of Ferrari in Geneva, the Italian carmaker also introduced the new facelifted version of the California for the media.
The 2013 California has an upgraded chassis which incorporates "cutting-edge aluminum fabrication techniques and construction technologies used by the Scaglietti Centre of Excellence". It helps the convertible to weigh less 30 kg less than its predecessor without affecting in any way on its structural rigidity and performance.
Thanks to new exhaust manifolds and an ECU remap, the 4.3-liter V8 engine is now develops 490 hp and 505 Nm of torque - an increase of 30 hp and 20 Nm. This allows the supercar to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3.8 seconds.
Ferrari is also offering a Handling Speciale package that includes stiffer springs, a 10% quicker steering ratio and improved Magnetorheological dampers controlled by an even faster ECU, which come with a 50% quicker response time.
