Koenigsegg has recently introduced the 2013 Agera R at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show.

Set to go on sale later this year, the updated model comes with the world’s first hollow, one piece, super light carbon fiber wheel saving 20 kg of weight, named 'Aircore'. It also features the world’s first production engines to use nano-surfaced cylinder sleeves from ANS for reduced friction and fuel consumption.

According to the Swedish supercar carmaker, the rev limiter has been raised from 7,250 rpm to 7,500 rpm, allowing for a 25 hp increase to 1,140 hp on standard petrol. A lighter exhaust, unique Triplex suspension, front winglets and an electronic stability program become standard across the Agera range.
