Following its debut launches in Japan and Europe, Subaru has just announced the 2013 XV Crosstrek will make its North American debut at the New York Auto Show next month.
According to the Japanese carmaker, the model will be offered in two trim levels (Premium and Limited) and is powered by a 2.0-liter naturally-aspirated flat four engine with 148 hp, mated to a five-speed manual gearbox or an available second-generation Lineartronic Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT).
Subaru estimates that the XV Crosstrek will be the most fuel efficient all-wheel drive crossover on the market, returning up to 25 mpg in the city, 33 mpg on the highway and 28 mpg for the combined driving cycle.
