2013 Subaru Legacy

Subaru has recently unveiled the 2013 Outback and Legacy, which will be presented at the 2012 New York Auto Show.

According to the Japanese automaker, the cars feature fog lights, revised headlights, a new grille and a modified front bumper.

Inside, the cabin comes with new seat fabrics, automatic headlight function, an improved audio system (with Bluetooth/iPod/USB/AM/FM connectivity) and Radio Data Broadcast System. Meanwhile, limited variants will add rear air vents and an electro-luminescent instrument cluster with a 3.5-inch display.

The models also benefit from numerous enhancements to the body structure, suspension and steering system to improve comfort and provide a quieter ride.

Under the hood, both of which are powered by a new 2.5-liter Boxer engine with 173 hp and 236 Nm of torque - an increase of 3 hp and 5 Nm. It is mated to either a 6-speed manual gearbox or a Lineartronic continuously variable transmission. In addition, a 256 hp 3.6-liter Boxer engine also available, which mated to a five-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission and all-wheel drive system.
