Scion has recently announced the pricing for the FR-S in the United States.
Accordingly, the sports car, fitted with a six-speed manual gearbox, will start at $24,200, while the six-speed automatic version has a starting price of $26,030. All prices include a $730 destination fee. Both versions are powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder boxer engine with 197 hp at 7,000 rpm and 205 Nm of torque at 6,600 rpm.
For comparison with its rivals, the 2012 Ford Mustang starts at $22,200, the 2012 Chevrolet Camaro costs $23,280 and the 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe starts at $24,250.
