Mercedes-Benz has just revealed the 2013 GLK, ahead of its debut at the 2012 New York Auto Show on April 4.

Set to go on sale in August as a 2013 model in the States, the 2013 GLK is fitted with a bigger front grille, LED daytime running lights as standard on all models, revised headlights and tail lamps, and a set of 17-, 19- or 20-inch wheels. In addition, the AMG Exterior Sports package is also available as an option. It includes AMG front and rear aprons, a specific radiator grille with chrome accents, AMG LED daytime-driving lights, 19-inch AMG 5-spoke light-alloy wheels and a sportier suspension setup.

Inside, the cabin comes with new air vents, new sports seats, trim and upholstery colors, steering wheel designs and instrument panel graphics. There’s also upgraded infotainment system, Bluetooth, Brakes Assist, Nigh View Assist and PreSafe anti-crash.

The model also features a variety of safety assistance systems such as drowsiness detecting Attention Assist, Active Lane Keeping Assistant and Active Blind Spot Assist.

Under the hood, the car is powered by a reworked 3.5-liter naturally aspirated V6 engine with 302 hp and 273 lb-ft of torque, which can send its power to either front- or all-wheel drive system.

Pricing and specs will be announced next month.
