According to a recent report from Car&Driver, Mercedes-Benz is planning to introduce the 2013 GL-Class at the 2012 New York Auto Show on April 4.
The report also says that the second-generation GL-Class is based on the same architecture that underpins the new ML-Class. It will be more fuel efficient, more spacious and more refinement.
Under the hood, engine options could include: a 255 hp 3.0-liter V6 diesel and a 402 hp 4.7-liter unit V8 petrol. The AMG version is expected to be powered by a 5.5-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with 518 hp and 700 Nm of torque.
Sales will begin later this year with pricing starts at $63,445. Full details can be revealed next week or so.
