Kia has officially unveiled the 2013 Sorento for the American market.

According to the South Korean automaker, the model comes with a prominent front fascia, the company’s signature grille, body color accents and 17-inch alloy wheels with 235/65R17 tires. While the range-topping SX is adding stuff like a roof spoiler, a chromed exhaust tip, LED tail lights and 18-inch alloy wheels with 235/60R18 tires.

Inside, the cabin features air conditioning, a telescopic steering wheel with integrated audio controls, illuminated vanity mirror, EcoMinder Indicator and power windows. New options include an UVO infotainment system and a Convenience Plus Package with an eight-way power driver's seat, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, automatic climate control, stainless steel pedals and a first aid kit.

Under the hood, three engines are available, the 2.4-liter MPI four-cylinder engine develops 175 hp and 229 Nm of torque, the 2.4-liter GDI four-cylinder engine produces 191 hp and 245 Nm of torque and the 3.5-liter V6 with 276 hp and 336 Nm of torque. All engines are mated to a six-speed automatic transmission and standard front-wheel drive, but an all-wheel drive system is optional.
