General Motors has announced the 2013 Chevrolet Malibu will get a new turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder Ecotec engine.
Available this autumn, the direct-injection engine will produce a total output of 259 hp and 353 Nm of torque from 1,700 to 5,500 rpm. This allows the sedan to accelerate from 0-96 km/h in just 6.3 seconds.
The North American carmaker says that the Chevrolet Malibu Turbo will be offered in the United States, Canada and Israel.
