Yesterday, Mazda has launched the Demio 13C-V Smart Edition in Japan.
Available in nine colors (Burgundy Red Mica, Aluminum Metallic, Sunlight Silver Metallic, Brilliant Black, Chrystal White Pearl Mica, True Red, Radiant Ebony Mica, Metropolitan Gray Mica and Spirited Green Metallic), the special edition of the Demio (known overseas as the Mazda2) is based on the 13C-V model that is subject to Japan’s tax incentives to promote eco-cars with a 75 percent tax deduction and subsidy for measures designed to promote introduction of clean energy vehicles.
The car comes with new manual air conditioning, which has been changed from the automatic climate control, and dark tinted glass in the rear door and rear gate. Meanwhile, the cabin is available in two colors, Black and Light Gray.
The 2012 Mazda Demio 13C-V Smart Edition is powered by a 1.3-liter engine. Power is transmitted to the front wheels via a CVT transmission.
