The Volkswagen Sharan MPV has recently been launched in Malaysia.
According to the German carmaker, the Malaysian Sharan comes with safety features like the electronic stabilization programme (ESP), the anti-lock braking system (ABS) and nine airbags. There's also the Park Distance Control (PDC), Park Assist 2.0 parallel parking system and rear view camera.
Power comes from a 2.0-liter TSI turbocharged direct injected four-cylinder petrol engine with 200 hp at 5,100 rpm and 280 Nm of torque between 1,700 and 5,000 rpm. It is mated to a six-speed DSG transmission (Direct Shift Gearbox), allowing the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 8.3 seconds and hit a top speed of 218 km/h.
