Toyota has announced plans to launch a redesigned version of the Avensis in Japan on April 16.
Available in two grades (the Xi and the Li), the new Avensis will be sold across Japan through Toyota, Toyopet and Netz dealers. The model features LED headlamps, a new front grille and front bumper, front fog lights and exclusive 17-inch alloy wheels.
Inside, the cabin comes with a new seat upholstery pattern, silver-finished door grips, center console and chrome-accented side air vents.
Under the hood, the redesigned Avensis is powered by a 3ZR-FAE 2.0-liter engine, mated to a super CVT-i transmission. The Xi version will start at ¥2,500,000, while the Li costs ¥2,750,000. Toyota targets to sell 300 units every month in Japan.
