Peugeot has recently released full details and preview images of the 208 GTi concept, ahead of its official debut at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show in March.
Based on the three-door version of the 208, the concept comes with some modest updates, such as lower bodywork spoilers, sill skirt extensions and a brushed aluminium GTi Concept logo on the grille and on its quarter panels.
Inside, the cabin is even more impressive, with LED backlighting giving an ambient feel to the driver and a leather flat-bottomed steering wheel that looks lie it came of a spaceship and bright red dials.
Under the hood, the 208 GTi concept is powered by a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine that shared by the RCZ THP 200. It produces 197 hp and 275 Nm of torque and is mated to a six-speed manual transmission. This allows the model to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in less than 7 seconds.
