Mazda has announced plans to present the Takeri Concept at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show next month, marking the European premiere of the concept.
First revealed in Tokyo a few months ago, the Takeri concept is a preview of the next-generation Mazda6, which is rumored to arrive this fall, at the Paris Auto Show.
It uses Mazda’s KODO design language and is fitted with multiple eco technologies, such as the i-ELOOP (Intelligent Energy Loop) regenerative braking system, thus reducing the load on the engine and increasing fuel economy by up to 10%.
Combined with Mazda's new SKYACTIV 2.2-liter turbo diesel engine (available with 150 hp and 175 hp), mated to a six-speed SKYACTIV-Drive automatic transmission and start/stop system, the Takeri concept can travel approximately 1,500 km between fill ups.
More details will be revealed on March 6.
