Mazda has recently announced plans to offer an MX-5 Venture Edition in the United Kingdom, for a starting price of £18,995 (OTR).
Available in three colors (Metropolitan Grey Mica, Radiant Ebony Mica and Crystal White Pearlescent), the model features a chrome grille, front fog lights, piano black "fashion" bars and 17-inch alloy wheels.
Inside, the cabin has Havana Brown leather seats, leather steering wheel, climate control air-conditioning, iPod and Bluetooth connectivity, piano black trim, alloy pedals, cruise control and a navigation system with a 5.8-inch display.
Under the hood, two engines are available. The 1.8 MZR (SE) develops 126 PS (93kW / 124 hp) and 167 Nm (123 lb-ft) of torque, mated to a five-speed transmission which allows the soft top to accelerate from 0-96 km/h in 9.9 seconds and hit a top speed of 195 km/h.
Next, the 2.0 MRZ (Sport Tech) produces 160 PS (118 kW / 158 hp) and 188 Nm (139 lb-ft) of torque, mated to a six-speed manual gearbox which enables the hardtop to rocket from 0-96 km/h in 7.9 seconds and hit a top speed of 219 km/h.
Only 800 units will be produced - 250 soft tops and 550 coupes.
