According to a report by Car Magazine, Infiniti is planning to develop a new sports car, which is based on the Nissan GT-R.
The head of advanced planning for Infiniti in Tokyo, Francois Bancon, told Car Magazine that the brand currently has three or four proposals on the table for a new top of the range model, including a GT-R based sports car.
Despite a fairly modest price, the Nissan GT-R has achieved super car performance. But, if the GT-R based Infiniti sports car gets approved for production, it would have to be more sophisticated and softer version than the GT-R. The new model is expected to be launched after 2015.
